FLEXOGRAPHY

Flexography works on the principal of the raised surface of a plate being coated with ink and then touching the substrate to make the printed impression. As the name suggests, the printing plates are made from a flexible polymer and can print uneven surfaces. Originally designed for use with only spot colours and line work, advances in the printing process itself have made printing halftones possible, however there are issues that must be considered when printing flexographic halftones.
